The aim of WP3 is to investigate the epigenetic and transcriptomic effects of photoperiod manipulation in the pituitary-liver-gonad (PLG) axis, which plays a catalytic role in gonadal maturation and puberty. The objective, is to create a list of sex-specific DNA methylation biomarkers associated to puberty in cod, while taking into account the transcriptional output of their genomes.
